These precision cartridges come in numerous needle groupings, defined by the number of needles that form the configuration — such as 5, 7, 9, 11 round liners, and more.
Also, REBEL precision liner cartridges are manufactured in #8 (0.25 mm), #10 (0.30 mm), and #12 (0.35 mm) gauges. The 6.5 mm long-taper versions ensure pinpoint needle grouping. In addition, configurations built with the long-taper #8 (0.25 mm) needles are called BUGPIN, recognized for their ultra-tight grouping. What Round Liner Cartridge Size Should I Use For Fine Line Tattoos?
For fine line tattooing, use a 1RL, 3RL, or 5RL in Bugpin (#8 / 0.25mm). The tighter needle grouping combined with a long taper produces precise, controlled lines with minimal skin trauma per pass. REBEL Bugpin Round Liners run a long taper at 6.5mm for maximum tip precision. For standard fine line work where you need slightly more ink deposit, a 3RL or 5RL in Standard (#10) is the more forgiving option. Avoid Power Liner gauges for fine line — the larger diameter deposits too much ink for detail-scale work.

Yes. REBEL Round Liner Cartridges use the universal standard cartridge format and are compatible with all major pen-style and rotary machines that accept standard cartridge grips — including Cheyenne, FK Irons, Bishop, Spektra, and similar industry-standard machines. All REBEL cartridges include a membrane safety system that prevents ink backflow into your machine, protecting both machine longevity and session hygiene. If your machine accepts standard tattoo cartridges, it accepts REBEL.
